Dear Rachel. I am missing you and trying not to be too sad while I remember you and think of your family. I know you wouldn't want everyone to be suffering...so I am thinking of how lucky we are that you touched our lives. And I'm trying that much harder to cherish every single little piece of my life, especially today.

1 year tomorrow, I can't believe it. This past year has been the most difficult and painful of my entire life. It was feeling your love and your warmth and picturing your beautiful face smiling down on me that got me through the hardest times. I would not trade the wonderful and precious 18 years I had you in my life for anything. I think of you every minute of every day, and I miss you so much. I love you baby girl.

This is such a horrible tradgedy. I just don't understand why things like this have to happen. Hopefully people will hear this story and remember it forever. If they never forget what has happened before, maybe they will keep it from happening again.

I went to school with Rachel. We were in choir together for many years. She had a beautiful voice and she was such a positive person. When she passed away I almost didn't believe it. There was no way that God would take her back so soon, but it was true. One of my memories with Rachel is taking the red eyes back home from Hawaii.Three of us stayed awake the entire time and talked. We sat in the aisles and blocked the stewardess from going back and forth.Another memory are all of the concerts that we sang in.Hard Knock Life,All That Jazz, the classical one where we wrote our own songs to sing, and many others. It has been almost a year but it feels like yesterday when i received the call from friends telling me this tragic news. She is missed and still loved.

My precious grandson, Josh, was killed in a drunk driving crash, January 19, 2001. Josh was 20 and a fine boy on his way to being a fine man. As his family, the pain is still so fresh and we miss him everyday. May God bless all who have been touched by this horrible crime of DUI.

My only daughter Ashley, was also killed by a drunk driver on 8/11/07 so I would like to express my heart felt sorrow for Rachel's family & friends. The loss of a child is so horrible & so unreal to understand "why" I still nightmares of that day when Ashley was killed but she did leave the most precious gift behind, her daughter, Alexandria. Without, Alexandria, my life would have been over. My God take care of you. ^i^

One of my uncles whos name is william was only 18 when he was killed and i was not yet thought of but i wish i could of met him. My other uncle David he was not killed by a drunk driver but by one not caring about endangering the lives of others or there own. I dont know my father but my uncle was always there for me as a father. I miss him dearly but Iam now one of Jehovahas witnesses and I have the hope for the future when we all will live in a paradise earth and are dead loved ones will be resurected. mybe one day i can share the same joy that i have learned with u and you to can have the joy and the hope for the future, like i have. There truely are no words that I can say that would even begin to give back what was taken from you. It is so unfair. All I can say is you will join her in time and be reunited. She is with you and is not alone or frightened. I have a son at Irvine now and I worry about him. I have a daughter in downtown L.A. in architecture school. I worry about her. There is such a fine line between life and death but, I guess, we must retain our hope. My grandmother lost a 17 year old daughter. I was raised understanding her loss. It is not easy. Anyone who is reading these Guestbook writings... if you drink don't drive. May there be less pain in this world for all of us.Thank all who have entered here and tried to make sense of this loss. And may your memories of such a wonderful child keep you strong.

I AM A BLIND MAN IN TRINIDAD TEXAS WHO HAS SORROW IN MY HEART YOU YOUR LOSE AND THE WORLDS LOST OVER STUPIDITY! MY SON LEFT HOME BEFORE HE GRADUADE HIGH SCHOOL AND AFTER HE TURNED 18 YEARS OLD STILL A MINOR! HE RETURNED HOME AT THE AGE OF 20 STILL A MINOR, AN BEING ARRESTED FOR DRUNK DRIVING. HE RETURNED HOME AN ACHOLIC. HE HAD NEVER KNOWN OF ME NOR HIS MOTHER TAKING ONE DRINK OF ALCHOL. I NEED TO CHANGE THE LAW TO MAKE IT A FELONY FOR CONTRIBUTING TO A MINOR INSTED OF A SLAP ON THE WRIST. ALOT OF LIVES CAN BE SAVED AND CHANGED IF THIS WERE TO EVER COME TRUE! MAY THE LORD BLESS EACH MEMBER OF RACHEL'S HOME! SHE WILL BE MISSED BY MANY!

I want to start out by saying how sorry I am to here about your sister/daughter or friend. I was on the internet trying to find information on how drinking and driving causes a ripple effect on people involved and everyone around them, this was the first site I clicked on and it just happened to be the one that i will never forget. Rachel sounded like an amazing person...and i'm vary sorry for your tragity. By providing this information to others it might just make the next person that tries to get behind the wheel intoxicated think twice. I really belive that by you creating this site Rachel will live on forever..

I am so sorry for your loss. Nothing I say can bring Racheal back. My son is a survivor of a DUI crash almost three years ago. He was 12 at the time. Now I am a certified victim advocate for MADD. It happens everyday to innocent people. My son also stands up for the right thing. I thank God for him every day.
