I am so sorry for your loss. In ways I feel like I've lost too because I never got to meet Rachel. Your family is in my prayers and I pray to someday get to meet all of you in heaven. May God give you the peace that surpasses all understanding, comfort beyond belief, assurance that you will see Rachel again, courage to face another day without her and the strength to carry you through it all. In His Grip -

I pray for you often. Living in Corona, I have to drive that road. This last weekend one of our extended family members was killed by a drunk driver in Riverside. She was 16. She was wonderful. Thank you for writing your blog Steve.

I would like to know what the update is on this case. Has there been an arraignment? And is the person that committed this horrible crime behind bars or is she walking free? This is all very upsetting for me as I have to drive by the scene of the accident everyday. It's only time before this person takes another life or more..

I am so sorry for you loss, i just wanted you to know that i will be praying for your family and all the families that have lost loved ones. I wish people would just think before drinking and driving its so frustrating to me to know that beautiful lives are being taken from this world because of the irresponsiblity of someone else. This story has touched my life forever.. I will keep you my prayers. May God Bless You, your family, Rachel, and all others who have been taken and the loved ones who have lost.

Hi Jill and Steve and Erik-Just wanted you to know that I check Rachel's website frequently for updates, to see the guest book to see how this site is touching and changing lives (Hopefully people making the choice to NOT drink and drive!) as well as strangers seeing and knowing that Rachel lived for Christ! That your family clings to Him and His promises...Love Donna Tice

My brother was killed by a drunk driver in 2000. Although the pain can be dealt with in time, the loss is always there. With each new turn in our loves we see more things that he has missed. I have grown and now I have children of my own, nephews he will not meet in this world. Having lived this tragedy I just want to say that I am so incredibly sorry that this beautiful intelligent young woman was taken from you. I hope that you can find peace and that she is resting now in good hands.

My heart hurts for what happened to your Rachel. I lost my dear friend Andrea and her unborn son. Her boyfriend was D.U.I. and she didn't make it. We still cry, WHY, how can this happen. Our hearts and souls are with you. Stay strong, we give you all of our love to help you through this difficult time.

Hello I never knew Rachel, but she sounds like a great person. Also I am doing a project against drunk driving in East Lab so things like this won't happen. I want to add that I sincerely am sorry for the loss of this friend and relative.
