Rachel's name jumped out at us from the internet...on June 24, 2004, our 18-year-old grandaughter (Rachel Nicole Elliott) was murdered by her father. She had just graduated from high school with honors, and was to enrol in college the next day. Her mother was killed at the same time and her brother severely wounded. Our kindest regards to your family.

I am so sorry for the Elliott family. I know you're suffering, and I feel for you. I read everyday for updates. I find it very difficult to wrap my brain around this, simply because Rachel was truly charitable, against drunk driving, incredibly unselfish, and sweet. I never knew her, but I've read every blog, every newspaper clipping, especially the heartbreaking blog her dad writes. I find it ironic and cruel for her to be taken from this Earth in such a vulgar manor, by such a person that was so horribly opposite of everything Rachel clearly stood for. I can't express my sympathy enough to Rachel's family. God Bless You.

Rachel, I can't believe that we are approaching the 2 year mark of the day that we lost you. I know I haven't been on here in a while, but a day doesn't go by that I don't think of you. My Fiance Chris feels like he knows you cause I always talk about you, he knows what a wonderful person we lost because some woman decided to drink and drive. You are missed everyday and you influence my life in every way. You are forever loved and never forgotten. 🙂

I am so sorry for your loss. Rachel's story has truly touched me. I don't personally know Rachel, but what an amazing teenager she seemed to have been. And what a beautiful way to remember her, all her photos really show what a happy, beautiful person she was. May God bless Rachel's family! My prayers are with you all. She will never be forgotten. I am very sorry for your lost, Rachel seemed like a nice smart and caring person, it shows throughout her pictures. I read Rachel story because I have to do a project on drinking and driving for a scholarship, and Rachel story touched me. I think this woman should be caught and put away for the rest of her life for taking someone else's life that hadn't even got the chance to experience life yet. how inconsiderate, thoughtless of this woman to drink and drive. my heart goes out to Rachel's family. time will come when her killer has to pay and justice will be served. too many people know Rachel story and will see her killer's face on this website and turn her in. MAy God Bless Rachel's Family!!

This story hit me hard because I am 18 years old and I knew of people who used to drink while intoxicated, but thankfully they stopped. I ran across this website while doing an english paper about drunk driving and the installation of breathalyzers in cars to decrease people to drive when intoxicated. I am very sorry about Rachel's death. She seemed like such a happy beautiful girl and I know she is looking down upon you, her family! You along with Rachel will be in my prayers, I hope that the woman who killed Rachel is found and punished for what she has done.

May God always comfort you and make you stronger. I was a habitual drunk driver. In 33 years I had nine.DUI's. On Nov. 17th of 2004 I got into a head-on collision. I woke up in ICU greatful that I didn't kill anyone. I turned my life over to CHRIST and have not drank since. I am in Prison ministry to drive to deliver the message. People can stop if they truly want to.

Im very sorry for your lost, Rachel was very beautiful and seems to have been very talented. I was browsing the internet because im doing an speach on helping to prevent drunk driving for my speach 101 class. Rachel's story really touched me as I was reading it, and her legacy needs to be remembered. I am going to make mention of this website to all of my classmates to make sure that people will know what a wonderful person Rachel was and how she was tragically taken from her family. God bless and continue to bless Rachel's family
