This evening I found a picture of my 18yr old daughter drinking a beer at a friend's party (the father knowingly served alcohol to underage kids!),and was originally looking for pictures of drunk driving crashes to show her the devastation alcohol can do. I came upon Rachel's site- While I may not know you, and two years have passed, I just wanted to let you know that my heart bleeds for you. I have three daughters, and I cannot imagine going through something like this,as well as yr other tragedies.God be with you, keep your faith always.

I am speechless and sad. I am a mother of two, sister of two teenagers, both 15 yrs old. I cannot imagine a day without them. Thank you for sharing your story. I hope teens that come across your story can learn from it. Your courage is inspiring, someday justice will catch up to the person responsible and even though it will not bring Rachel back, but it will bring peace to your lives knowing your hard work has paid off by removing scum off the streets. THANK YOU!

I've always talked to people about not drinking & driving. Having a 10-month-old daughter, I can't even imagine the unbearable pain of what you went through, and I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure she's in Heaven, looking after you all. 'Every 15 Minutes' should be National Mandatory Viewing. Thank you for sharing your story with my school for our Every 15 Minutes Program at Santiago High School. Your story has touched many of us and especially me. I can't express how sorry I am for your loss and I hope her murderer is brought to justice. A drunk driving car crash is not an accident, it is a reckless, immature, and stupid decision that can cost someones loved one their life. An innocent person can lose their life for no reason but for the other person wanting to have fun, it's never worth it. Thank you so much, and my heart goes out to you.

I am writing an essay about this topic in general. It is that anyone convicted of a drunk driving offense causing death should automatically be banned from driving any vehicle. This story is my main example in the introductory paragraph. May she RIP. God bless you.

I just read your story and cant express how very sorry I am for your loss. My mom died one year ago in a drunk driving accident. Both she and the driver she hit where over the limit. The driver survived, my mom was killed instantly. This is the most painful experience I have gone through in my life. I am grateful no one else was hurt and have to live with this painful memory every day. Maybe one day I will have the courage to share my story too.My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Well I was just thinking about Rachel today as always. I hope that everyone that reads this site about Rachel and what a great person she was makes everyone think about the choices they make. If you choose to drink and have a good time, just be responsible have a D.D. Rachel will always be remembered and loved!

Jill, you came to Paradise High School yesterday and today to speak with us about drunk driving during our Every 15 Minutes program. I was a participant as well as a speaker at our assembly, and I would just like to thank you from all of Paradise for the impact I know you have made on so many lives. Nothing can ever heal your pain in losing Rachel, but I hope and pray justice may someday be served in the arrest of Elva Diaz. Thank you very much for doing all that you do. -Tori
