I was recently looking for a touching story to put in my speech about drinking and driving and found this page. To my surprise Rachel's middle name is my first name. I've never met someone with the same name! I actually was hit by a drunk driver on Feb. 16 2008. God was watching over me and brought me through. I would love to share Rachel's story in my speech! Thank you for this page.

I learned of your story from one of my 9th grade health classes, they were researching Drinking and Driving. Through reading your guestbook it seems as if you have touched (and continue to touch) thousands of lives, including my students. I'm sure you already are but keep watching over your beauitful family. I wish I had gotten the pleasure of meeting you. Rest in Peace beautiful Angel.

2 years ago I did a speech on drink driving for my issues class. While researching, I came across Rachel's story and I used it in my speech. It really touched me and when I told the class her story they were all silent, some almost in tears. Rachel Elliot was a stranger to us and she still managed to touch our lives. This year I am doing another speech on drink driving and even now I remember Rachel Elliot and her story. She and her family are in my prayers and I'm so sad for your loss. Stay strong. Peace, Tess.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your beautiful daughter, Rachel. May God be with her family and friends. I came across this paper while doing research for an essay. Perhaps Rachel's story and my presentation will prevent at least one of my college classmates from driving drunk. I am very proud of all the efforts you have made and I pray that one day people will smarten up before they get into a car drunk. I couldn't imagine ever losing my child. You should all be very proud of your courage and strength for honoring Rachel the way you have! I pray for all the victims and family's out there that have had to go through losing their loved ones. God Bless!

Dear parents and family members of Rachel Amaris Elliott, My biggest prayers go to Rachel's family and friends. You can tell by the dedication to informing the world about her story that she was loved. And by many, at that. I know how it feels to lose a loved one and i'm so greatful about you guys being able to be on the internet and T.V. about Rachel. It takes a lot of strength and belief to have gone what you all have gone through and go out and go through all this to get her story known. I'm very proud that there are people like you in the world. God bless you. With the BEST thought, Chastin Cookston

I'm so sorry for your loss. I too lost a family member to a drunk driver in 06. She was 18 as well and my sister. I know it doesn't make it better or make them come back but you're not alone. I think that's an important to know.
